How to use the Facebook iPhone App: Status Updates and Uploading Photos

It’s easy to use, especially for posting status updates and uploading pictures. Let’s cover a basic tutorial of how to use the Facebook iPhone app now.
Download the Facebook iPhone app
1. Go to the Apple Apps store
2. In the search box, type in Facebook
3. Enter your iTunes credentials (i.e., username, password)
4. Download the latest Facebook app
5. Install the app
6. Launch the app
Once the Facebook iPhone app is downloaded, go ahead and launch the program. To get started on Facebook using your phone, you’ll need to sign in. Let’s do it!

1. Click on the installed Facebook iPhone app
2. If you have an account, login by entering your email and password
3. If you’re an existing member, enter your email and password now
4. Click on “Go” once you’ve entered your credentials

Now you’re ready to begin socializing! Once you’ve logged in, go ahead and access your Facebook dashboard, also known as the News Feed page. At the top of the screen, you’ll see a dialogue box, “What’s on your mind?” Entering you status update now!
Uploading photos is just as easy. Here’s how.
- Make sure you’re using the latest Facebook iPhone app available. Original or older versions do not include photo upload functionality. Delete your old versions after you’ve updated to the most recent Facebook iPhone app.
- Launch the newest version of your Facebook iPhone app (see above for installation instructions) and tap the camera icon, located at the top right of the iPhone screen.
- Select whether or not you want to take a photo or upload an existing one.
- For existing photos, you’ll be redirected to your stored photo albums. Here, select the appropriate image. Afterward, you’ll have an opportunity to write in a caption.
- Add the caption (optional) and then click “Upload”
